Powering Change

Every project we deliver is a story of people, progress, and possibility. From remote coastlines to inland highland stations, our work brings clean, reliable energy to communities that have lived in darkness for generations — places the grid may never reach, but where the need for power is greatest. Our installations are more than systems; they are moments of change. When the lights switch on for the first time, classrooms reopen after sunset, clinics become safer, and local businesses begin to grow. This is the real impact of renewable energy — lighting lives, strengthening communities, and powering Papua New Guinea where it’s needed most.

The Baluan Breakthrough

Baluan Island in Manus Province became a milestone for renewable energy in PNG.
Sak Energy delivered a 100kW solar array with a 215kWh battery storage system, bringing the island 24-hour power for the first time.

Over fifteen tonnes of equipment travelled more than 820 kilometres across sea and land — carried by local families, youth, and community leaders who helped shape their own energy future.

Today, Baluan’s schools light up in the evening, clinics operate safely, and markets stay open longer.
What began as a project became a transformation.

Roma Station, East Sepik

In Maprik District, a full off-grid solar and battery system powers Roma Station’s administration, community facilities, and small businesses.

Built to withstand the region’s heavy rain, high humidity, and fluctuating electricity demand, the system proves solar can thrive even in PNG’s interior.
It continues to operate reliably with local operators trained by the Sak Energy team.

Expanding Across the Country

Real stories, real impact. Every project we deliver brings clean, reliable energy to communities that have lived for years without dependable power. From remote islands to inland villages, we bring light to places often overlooked — helping families, schools, and health posts take their next step forward.

Our work goes beyond installation. When the lights switch on for the first time, evenings become safer, learning hours extend, and small businesses find new opportunities to grow. This is the true impact of renewable energy — powering resilience, strengthening communities, and delivering change where it’s needed most.
